Sports Played: Basketball

High School Honors: Two-year basketball letterman; All-City team and Second Team All-Tournament while playing for 1932 team that was 25-2, losing to eventual State Champion Astoria in semifinals

Post High School Career: Moved to University of Oregon from Southern Oregon Normal College along with Coach Howard Hobson and became first African American to play basketball in the Pacific Coast Conference Northern Division.
