Earned law degree at Willamette University College of Law, served as Klamath County District Court Judge and Circuit Court Judge; (an advocate for small, honest and competent government) named Judge of the Year in 1986.

The preparation and competition involving individual (mile, half-mile) and basketball, greatly prepared me for the competition of the courtroom, where I was a Circuit Judge in Klamath and Lake Counties.

I had two superlative high school coaches, Paul McCall in basketball and JV football and Dennis Sullivan in track and cross country. Both were wonderful gentlemen with great knowledge of their sports. Both motivated and inspired excellence. It is an honor to join Coaches McCall and Sullivan as a member of the PIL Hall of Fame. These coaches and a teacher of civics, Wayne Altree, were great mentors that greatly influenced my social and intellectual development.
