Athletics have played a dominant role in my life for as long as I can remember. As a small child, I enjoyed gymnastics, swimming, ice skating, and soccer. As I grew, my sports resume expanded to include basketball, softball, track, and even football. I've always loved sports; the team camaraderie, the thrill and excitement of competition, the adrenaline rush inspired by win or lose situations, and the pure elation associated with victories (big and small).

Through sports, I've learned the importance of discipline, setting goals, honoring commitments, accepting defeat gracefully, and celebrating victories with humility. These are lessons that I have learned to apply to all aspects of my life. Sports have also provided many amazing opportunities, including the chance to play soccer all over the U.S. and in Europe.

As a youth, I feel I took a lot of my opportunities for granted. As an adult, I realize how special those opportunities were, and that they would have not been possible without the unwavering support of my parents, who sacrificed so much to help me reach my full potential as an athlete and as a human being. I will be forever grateful to them and the rest of my family! I am also thankful for all of the coaches and mentors I've had, who have positively influenced and guided me throughout my life, and for all of the amazing teammates I've had the pleasure of competing with.

Over the years, I have worn many different "hats." As a wife, mom, coach, and teacher, I am mindful to model the life lessons I've learned through athletics, and am dedicated to passing those invaluable lessons on to my son, players, and students. I've been blessed with a wonderful life, full of truly incredible people. A big "thank you" to all of my family and friends for their unconditional love and support over the years!
