Commentary:

Throughout my life my encouragement has always originated from my family. They are my biggest supporters, critics and will always “keep it real” with me. During my track career I experienced a lot of disappointments and took some heavy losses, but my family has always encouraged me to get right back up, work harder and try again.

It is because of their love and support that I was able to achieve amazing accolades in track. Some of which include being Johnny Carpenter Prep Female Athlete of the year in 2002, winning at the State Championship seven times in individual events, attaining a full ride track & field scholarship to Texas Christian University (Go Frogs!) and becoming a four-time All-American.

My family’s continued backing and encouragement allows me to set high goals in life and lead me to my biggest success, which is providing the same foundation and principles of success in my son as he grows in his athletic endeavors.
