Commentary:

The impression that track has made on my life has permeated into everything that I do and have become to this day. I’ve learned the meaning of sacrifice altering my lifestyle to make it to practice and my workouts. It was instilled in me to eliminate excuses for why I couldn’t achieve or meet a goal. During a time where I was mocked as being arrogant right before a track meet, one of my teammates pointed out the “TNT” my Dad painted on my blocks. That was the day I settled into being explosive in everything that I would endeavor to accomplish. I was inspired by my father, John Tarver, former NFL football player for the Patriots and the Eagles. I was also pushed to run track and dig deeper by my late grandfather, Phillip Walden Sr., who founded the Albina Road-Runners and ASP basketball in Portland, Oregon. The tenacity to continue to show up no matter what caused me to stretch myself in unimaginable ways to meet my goals, compete with three kids, a husband, graduate from University of Oregon, become Mrs. Oregon International in 2000, and purchased two homes before the age of 25. I went on to earn my Bachelor’s in Journalism and Broadcasting in 1998, Master’s Degree in Journalism in 2000 and Doctorate of Theology in 2020.

Currently, I am the founder of Lifeline TNT Global Ministries. Successful business owner of several businesses in the beauty industry. I also own a business with my husband, Dr. Paul Bishop, Always in HD. Other accomplishments include: author of 7 books, CEO of Lifeline TNT Worship Record label with 5 albums released in 2-year span, CEO of publishing company globally distributing TNT Magazine, and the Chancellor of Lifeline TNT Minister’s Training Institute. The values I gained during my high school track days enable me to lead and teach my congregation what it is to finish strong, sacrifice, and discipline with Jesus Christ as the ultimate example.
