Commentary:
Athletics have played a crucial role in the person that I am today. Sports have taught me the importance of practice, teamwork and leadership.
My Father was born in Brazil and played professional soccer. From the earliest age that I can remember, soccer was my world. My parents encouraged me to practice and it quickly became my obsession. My Father would challenge me daily and help me constantly set goals, which I would consistently and quickly achieve by my dedication to practice and the passion that fueled my motivation.
I am the proud father of an amazing son, Mason Drake Powarczuk. I enjoy not only being his father, but coaching him in sports. The greatest lesson that I have learned in sports is that through practice, hard work and dedication, you can achieve anything you are passionate about and have a lot of fun while doing it.
