Commentary:

Athletics have given me opportunities and opened doors that I never thought possible. When I was young, my mom worked hard so I could participate in sports. She always believed in me and led by example with her work ethic. I enjoyed my time at Cleveland where my coaches pushed me to be my best. They instilled the confidence I needed to compete at the next level at OSU. They taught me that hard work and discipline pays off. Now I try to give back by teaching those same lessons to other young people through my work as a teacher and coach. I’ve also tried to pass down the love of sports to my daughters — encouraging them to work hard and be their best.
