Commentary:
Athletics have always been central in my life, and that passion really grew during my time at Franklin, playing soccer and basketball and then later discovering my love for track and field and cross country. I made lifelong friends through the sports I played in high school and I’m so grateful to my teammates for the experiences we shared, working hard and having a blast together every day. I have my coaches to thank for pushing me beyond my own expectations and guiding me through the decision to pursue running in college. And I couldn’t be more appreciative of my family who has been there for me all along the way. My supporters and my experiences in sports have helped me better understand myself and taught me many valuable lessons about dedication and teamwork that I continue to carry with me today. I will always look back fondly on my time as a student athlete, and I feel lucky to have had a small part in Franklin’s history.
