Commentary:
My time at Grant HS was a great time of growth and learning! As a student-athlete, I learned leadership skills, how to win with class, how to lose with grace, and how to represent more than just myself but an entire school.
I learned how to set a good example for my younger brother who used to ride to school with me in the mornings. I knew he would one day attend that school and want to become a student-athlete as well. I’ve since told my younger sisters about my experiences in high school and to encourage them to believe in themselves and their abilities; to set a great example for others as well.
I’ve made great friends on and off the field that are still great friends today. I learned great work ethic and “how to play nice in the sand box” while achieving my educational goals and gaining the confidence to compete in the corporate world of marketing.
