Commentary:

Athletics have always been an integral part of my life and have shaped me into the person that I am today. Being a part of a team, no matter what the sport, requires you to learn life skills including commitment, trust, integrity, selflessness and most of all perseverance. These skills have continued to positively impact all areas of my life including being a better student, friend, employee and parent. The relationships that I formed throughout my athletic career have continued into lifelong friendships.

I owe my PIL athletic success to the hard work and dedication of some of the most influential people in my life. The coaches who made an everlasting imprint on my sports memories are Cathy Benedetto (Basketball), Debbie Englestad (Softball), and Brick Street (Volleyball). I would like to think that I made an imprint on their memories as well. It was not uncommon that I needed to be reminded that practice was not a comedy club and to stay focused!

The last but most influential person I would like to recognize is my mother. Being a year-around three sport athlete required countless hours on a bench and miles in the car. No matter what field or gym I was in, I knew I could always look across and see her cheering me on. Thank you Mom for continuing to be my biggest fan in life.
