High School Honors: Swimming: 3-year letter winner; member of 1949 State Championship team; State Champion in 100-yard Backstroke, 1948, in 100-yard Breaststroke and as a member of 150-yard Medley relay team, 1949
Post High School Career: At University of Hawaii, swam and earned Master’s Degree; swam for Washington Athletic Club and at AAU events throughout Pacific Northwest and British Columbia; competed in numerous open-water events including National Master’s Swim at age 69, finishing 2nd in 100-yard Backstroke and 4th in 200-yard Backstroke.
