4 Basketball letters. 1st Team All-PIL as a Sophomore while attending Grant and averaged 29 points per game, including back-to-back games of 60 and 58 points. 1st Team All-PIL as a Senior at Jefferson in a 28-0 season and City and State Championships. 1st Team All-tourney and PIL and OSAA Player of the Year; Gatorade Player of the Year, and USA Today All-American Honorable Mention in Junior and Senior years. Included in the Top 25 players from Oregon in the modern era.

Post High School Career: Played Basketball 1 year at Indian Hills Community College in Iowa,
1st Team All-League and Final Four in National Tournament; 1st team National Junior College All-American. Went to University of Southern California to play basketball, but suffered significant ligament damage with a broken ankle during practice, ending his basketball playing career. Coaches with the Rose City Rebels AAU Basketball program in Portland and provides personalized basketball instruction in the Los Angeles area.

Commentary:

First, I’d like to thank my mom and grandma for always being there to support me in whatever I did. I’d like to thank all my coaches growing up and the whole North & Northeast Portland communities. Last but not least the greatest high school basketball team in Oregon history, the 2000 Jefferson Democrats.
