3 Track & Field letters. PIL Champions in 440 Relay and 4×440 Relay as a Senior. Those Relay Teams had four other PIL Hall of Fame members: Weldon Vance, Woodrow Green, Tony Warren, and Ken Carter

Post High School Career: Went to University of Washington on a Football scholarship.
Caught two touchdown passes in his first game. Left UW after a well-documented race-related situation. Enrolled at Pacific Lutheran University and lettered two years in Football, winning All-Northwest Conference honors both years. Was a free agent with the Washington Redskins; played two years in the World Football League. Had a 26-year career with Freightliner. Enjoyed a career as a singer/vocalist with The Legendary Beyons, an acapella group that has been together since the late 1960s. Also sang backup for Lyle Lovett and Michael McDonald, as well as singing with the Oregon Symphony
