Commentary:

“Golf is a good walk spoiled” … a quote famously attributed to Mark Twain, first spoken to me by one of my coaches after a poor round of golf. Who knew that a six word one liner could have the power to get a half cracked smile from my sixteen year old self, who at the time felt more like a deflated storm cloud than a true competitor

Golf has taught me many valuable life lessons but I think one of the most important is in the value of perspective. If you work hard and never stop believing in yourself, the “ups” will most certainly come. But with “ups” inherently comes “downs”, and sometimes the “downs” are outside of your control. Regardless of the outcome, perspective is what either holds you back or what pushes you forward. So why not choose to be positive, look at things “glass half full”, and never forget what’s actually important in this life.

With that being said, I would like to thank all my family, friends, coaches and mentors for their continued love and support.
