4-year Track & Field Letterman. PIL 3,000- meter Champion, Senior; National Champion, TAC Junior Olympics 3,000-meter racewalk, Junior. Co-valedictorian, Oregon Scholar, Chess Club President, and several honors and awards.
Post High School Career: Graduated Carleton College (cum laude), 1993. National Champion and American Junior Record in the 5K and 20K racewalk. Finalist US Olympic Festival 20K and 50K racewalk. Cross Country team qualifer in NCAA Division III Nationals; All-Conference indoor 1500-meter champion.
Eight-time US National Champion 50K racewalk and participant in 2000, 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games. Bronze medal in 1999 Pan American Games and 2003 Silver medal Pan-Am Racewalk Cup in 50K racewalk. Named USA racewalker of the year four times among several other honors. Extensive coaching experience in training programs throughout the US.
