Commentary:
Like a huge majority of teenagers, I clearly had fairly limited athletic ability. That’s a genetic fact that none of us can change. From coaches like Joe Loprinzi, Darrell Everett and Tom DeSylvia, I learned three life-long lessons: Attitude really counts, strength and quickness often outshine speed and ability on the football field, and the only place success comes before work is in the dictionary.
