Commentary:

Being involved in athletics at Madison High School was a life-changing experience. The professional educators always stressed academics first and athletics second. The following are not only great coaches but, more importantly, outstanding human beings who cared about young people and made a difference: Dave Gasser, Larry Keck, Jerry Schloss, Warren Bolin, Dave Crockett, Donald Dixon, Bob Osborn. I may have left several passionate people out, but I want to make sure it is known that I became an educator (31st year) because of them.
