High School Honors: Football: 3-year letter winner; 1st Team All-City and Honorable Mention All-State as a Senior; led PIL in scoring. Wrestling: 2-year letter winner. Baseball: 4-year letter winner; 1st Team All-City as Junior and Senior. Track & Field: Certificate (raced 100-yard dash on a break from baseball practice).

Post High School Career: Zachor has practiced law in the State of Washington since 1975 having attended University of Oregon Law School and Gonzaga University Law School. He played football and baseball for and graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science. He also has attended University of Maryland, working for his Master’s Degree in Economics and the Universita’di Pavia in Pavia, Italy.

He served five (5) years in the United States Air Force as an interpreter (French) during the Viet Nam war and was assigned to the National Security Agency. During that period, he was an airborne interpreter on an RC-135, attending survival, prisoner of war, and interrogation school. He also attended the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California, studying French and Italian languages. Rather than continue with the National Security Agency, he returned to law school at Gonzaga University.

In 1991, he began prosecuting for the City of Mountlake Terrace, and was conflict prosecutor for the City of Lynnwood from 1992. His firm, Zachor & Thomas, Inc., P.S., now represents ten (10) cities in Washington which includes providing legal training to police officers and criminal prosecution services for the cities. His firm is also “special prosecutors” for Snohomish County (the county just north of Seattle) and represents the Snohomish County Narcotics Task Force. He is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, Snohomish County Bar Association, Association of Police Legal Advisor’s, National College of District Attorneys (domestic violence emphasis), Washington Women’s Lawyers (Snohomish County Chapter) and has been admitted to practice before all Federal Courts including the United State Supreme Court.
