Commentary:
I have experienced encouragement and personal internal power from my athletics at a young age. The first year Madison opened I was a freshman. Everything was new to me, especially competition in athletics. My first teacher that opening day was Jerry Lyons (a Hall of Fame coach). He encouraged not only me but many others to go out for sports. He was my inspiration to work hard, but most important he taught integrity and how important it is in one’s life. He provided great direction and believed his athletes could be champions on the mat and in life as an adult. Athletics has been a huge factor in my success as an independent businessman.
