Commentary:

My high school athletic experience has, and continues to have, a profound impact on my personal and professional life. I had outstanding coaches while in high school who taught my teammates and me how to sacrifice for each other, how to work together towards a common goal, how to win and lose with humility, the importance of representing ourselves, our families, our school, and our community with class, what it means to be a school leader, and how to achieve our goals by working hard and concentrating on the fundamentals. All of these attributes can and have been transferred directly to my professional life as a high school administrator, and my personal life as a husband, father, sibling, and friend.

Vocationally, I was an educator for 34 years, a high school administrator for 27 of those years, and high school principal for the past 17 years before retiring this past June. I am currently working half-time for the Lake Oswego School District and volunteering in several different capacities.

I continue to enjoy traveling, reading, running, playing golf, and basketball.
