Watco Electric (Wilson High) American Legion Baseball Teams hold 50 Year Reunion.

Players, coaches, family members, and fans gathered last week to reunite and reminisce about the 1972 and 1973 seasons that saw Watco finish 3rd in the American Legion World Series in Lewiston, Idaho in the 1973 season. Nineteen players and coaches showed up including PIL HOF Members Bruce Plato, Dale Murphy, John Dunn, Steve Rudolph, Bruce Plato, Jeff Dunn, Rich Dodge, Gail Meier, Mike Clopton and Legendary Coach Jack Dunn. Teammates rounding out the reunion included Kevin LaBerge, Gary Zagelow, Joel Roth (PIL HOF Executive Committee Member), Blake Byrne, Tom Cowan, Scott Riese, Bill King, Ernie Thompson, Duane Erland, Zed Merrill and Kyle Hill standing in for his brother Bobby Hill. Missing besides Bobby Hill were Eric Gilmore, PIL HOF Member Scott Peterson, and deceased Paul Duncan.

Madison PIL Hall of Fame Members Celebrate Bill Booth's 65th Birthday

PIL Hall of Fame Member Bill Booth celebrated his 65th birthday, joined by fellow Madison PIL Hall of Fame Members Jeff Erdman, Marty Pinz, Greg Hay and their fellow teammate Jim Sleeman for a birthday float down the Clackamas River. Last report, Seal Team 65 was seen drifting wayward down the Willamette somewhere near Eugene......

The Annual Mel Krause Memorial PIL HOF Golf Tournament is scheduled for Sept. 11, 2023 at 1:30pm with a SHOTGUN start! So please SAVE the DATE! Registration will start at 11:30 with with pre-tournament snacks and free range balls. Shotgun start at 1:30 followed by a Buffet Dinner and Awards Ceremony. Registration at link below, or via forthcoming brochure. Individual entry will be $160 with a $40 discount if you register and pay for all four players prior to 9/4/23.
