Commentary
I am extremely honored and thankful for the opportunity to be a part of the PIL Hall of Fame. I could not be more grateful for my time as a Cleveland Warrior as I was fortunate to be surrounded by so many supportive and caring people who believed in me through the ups and downs of my high school career. Specifically, Steve Nims, Mark Hale-Brown, and Kellie Sauer were extremely positive and consistent influences during my time at Cleveland as a student-athlete. They mentored me to be a better athlete, competitor, teammate, and person to pursue goals and dreams in high school and beyond. Above all else, they wanted me to have fun and enjoy my experiences in sport.
The most influential people during my time as a Warrior were my parents. I would not be where I am without their support and belief in me. While I was competing in high school, we had so many conversations in car rides and around the dinner table about how I could pursue my best self in sport, school, and life. They taught me how to believe in myself and encouraged me to strive to keep improving and getting better. They will always be the biggest part of my journey and I am so thankful for them.
